Our compassionate surgical care is a team effort engaging the patient, family, hospital staff and physician. If you choose to have an operation, you will attend a preoperative class at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. You will have an additional office appointment a few days before surgery, so Dr. Shin can answer all your questions in detail. We engage your family/support system as well in order for them to learn how they are most helpful in your recovery.
If hospitalization is required, then we provide a private hospital room with an extra bed for a family member to stay overnight. Dr. Shin will visit you once or twice a day while in the hospital, and you will have access to direct lines with your doctor. It is an honor to share our patients’ path towards recovery.
